Marketing Dept

M-Consulting is our Marketing Team in Shanghai.
It is composed of 4 people and mainly deals with issues related to communication in Chinese territory of Italian companies.
Living and working on site, communicating daily with all social strata, allows us to know the rules that define the world's leading e-commerce market.
M-Consulting develops strategies to enter Asian markets, manages relationships with KOLs, interacts daily with followers, publishes content on company profiles in Weibo and WeChat up to the planning of events such as fairs or fashion shows like the Shanghai Fashion Week.

Trademark Registration

In order to sell in China, trademark registration is mandatory. From our branch in Shanghai we can register the trademark and logo on your behalf. In the first phase that lasts 4/5 months you obtain the "TM" (TradeMark) and the green light for online sales, after 18/20 months at the end of the process you obtain the "R" (Registered), the registration lasts 10 years. It is preferable to have all the data in advance so that we can do an initial search for any duplicates because in the event that the registration request is rejected the cost will not be refunded.
Trademark+logo registrations cost $1,500.

Vip.com is a leading online discount retailer in China. Here are some figures for the second quarter of 2023.
The number of active customers increased 9.6% year-on-year to 45.7 million compared to 41.7 million in the same period of 2022. Gross profit increased 23.4% year-on-year to RMB 6.2 billion (USD 855.3 million) compared to RMB 5.0 billion in the same period of 2022. Total orders increased 14.7% year-on-year to 213.8 million compared to 186.3 million in the same period of the previous year.

Costs

The Flagship store in the Chinese market remains with the company forever regardless of the TC that manages it.
It starts from a minimum of €8,000 per month for about 4/6 months until reaching a break even point then gradually this amount is reduced to zero.
It also depends on the type of trademark registration:
If during the registration phase ("TM") an amount of approximately €13,000 is requested. If the registration is completed ("R") an amount of approximately €6,500 is requested.
These last amounts are security deposits requested by the portals and are still included in the calculation of expenses.
